» Course Structure

The Bahraini Curriculum is based on the programme adopted by the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition to the subjects taught in the Arabic Schools, it gives additional instruction in English and Computer Science. It leads to the General Secondary Education Certificate (i.e. Thawjihiya) issued by Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain.

5) Social Studies

6) Computer Science

7) Islamiyat

8) Music

9) Art: Drawing, Painting, Clay modeling etc.

» Methodology

The Bahraini Curriculum pre-equips the teachers with prepared lesson-plans to interact effectively with pupils. Pupil to Teacher interaction accompanied by exposure to audio-visual aids help them comprehend and achieve their targets. The process of class room interaction motivates pupils emotional and intellectual development. Lessons are supplemented by practical training wherever necessary.

Class room exercises, drills, home assignments, field visits and other learning experiences train the children to hone their skills. Ethical values inculcated as part of the teaching refine the child’s emotional faculties. Health-awareness and physical-training are given in order to impart a sense of body-fitness, fortitude and tolerance, etc.

» Assessment

Assessment techniques are applied as suitable to the attributes in various subjects. They include orals, listening tests, writing and project work. Class - assessments and term examinations are conducted from time to time for the continuous evaluation of children.
